Meadville Medical Center’s Institute for Healthcare Professionals (IHP) was established to offer educational programs for individuals interested in pursuing healthcare-related careers. IHP started in 2024 with an LPN program, recently added the Sharon School of Nursing’s RN program to its offerings, and will potentially expand to other in-demand healthcare jobs in the future.
Meadville Medical Center’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Philip Pandolph has stated: “We are optimistic this will benefit MMC and other local healthcare providers, as well as benefit the entire community by preserving and enhancing local access to in-demand healthcare-related careers.”

The Sharon School of Nursing’s RN program at Meadville Medical Center’s Institute for Healthcare Professionals offers students the benefits of a nursing courses at a hospital-based diploma nursing program and college level academic courses at a college or university of their choice.
